Tech Talk with Mr.Terry Dwyer

First "Tech Talk" will be held on Thursday, March 29 2012 at 6pm in the Innovations Lab space.
Our first guest speaker is Mr.Terry Dwyer from US, who is going to talk about 3-Tier Applications development (UI, AL and DB).
Mr.Dwyer had worked for 25 years with Bell Laboratories (1970-1995) as software developer and team leader for a number of great projects such as TUXEDO System.

Mapping Public Facilities of Kosovo

Another project we have been working on is Mapping Public Kosovo Facilities, which has been supported by Unicef Innovations Lab. The main goal of this project was mapping all existing public facilities in Kosovo.While we went a long way towards achieving our goal, the lack of information was a hindrance.

Prishtina Buses

Prishtina Buses is a project which lies a very good idea developed and realized by the team made ​​up of FLOSSK members and our organizations fellows. This project will enable all citizens of Kosovo to watch online all the bus lines of Prishtina, schedules of departures, prices etc.

Betim Deva, who by profession is an experienced programmer from Prishtina with Masters in Computer Science from Arizona State University, shared his experience with the present audience of about 30 participants...

Software Freedom Kosova 2011

On November 12th for the third time, the traditional, one of the largest conferences in the region "Software Freedom Kosova 2011" successfuly ended. As each time with a big number of participants with over 300 people, this conference was one of the most successful held till now, a full intensive day full with topics that touched the world of Free Software from local and regional speakers with experience in this area.

Software Freedom Day soon in Prishtina

Software Freedom Day (SFD) is an annual worldwide celebration of Free Software. SFD is a public education effort to raise awareness of Free Software and its virtues, and also encourage its use.
And this time is the second year we are organizing something like this.
